I visited Washington D.C. for the first time in September 2022. Sitting in a pocket of American history with new and old friends, the magnitude of the place was palpable. I visited the Kennedy Center, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Library of Congress, and the National Museum of African American History & Culture. Each time I return to this city, I remain impressed by the speed, accuracy, and architectural beauty of D.C.’s public transit system.
